About Us

Thomas County Federal was organized in 1934 and chartered in 1937 by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. We were chartered as a mutual savings & loan association, being owned by the depositors. This is still the organizational structure of us, 100% owned by our depositors. Our main objectives are to provide affordable housing to the residents of Thomas County and the surrounding counties, and to furnish them with a safe environment in which to save their money with a competitive return. Thomas County Federal also offers attractive checking accounts to suit your needs as well as other banking services.

Having come from a true savings & loan beginning, Thomas County Federal specializes in mortgage loans. Our objective is to finance local homes with local money and service these loans with local people as employees. To finance these homes, we do so with local deposits, deposited in checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit and IRA accounts that have an attractive high return.
